Small Business & Entrepreneur Education Series. Session Three -- International Trade/Finance
The Sherwood Chamber of Commerce and the City of Sherwood welcome residents from all over the region to join us in a virtual educational series for entrepreneurs and existing and start-up small businesses.
September 17th session: International Trade/Finance --This webinar will help you understand the different forms of trade payment methods available and how to mitigate risk as an importer and exporter. You’ll also learn an option to protect your profit margin if selling in a foreign currency. We will end with discussing sources for trade credit insurance and will be provided some great reference sites to help you navigate the international trade arena.
The session will be lead by international banker Kristin Kyle-McQuesten. She’s been with Banner Bank for 12 years and currently leads the Bank’s team of trade finance professionals. Ultimately her role is to facilitate commerce; she sees value in building relationships, educating clients and working as a team with everyone involved in the transaction process. Kristin has a degree economics and a Certificate in International Economics from the University of Washington. She has 14 years of experience in international banking with banks of all sizes, and nine years in treasury management. Before entering banking, Kristin worked in transportation and logistics, gaining insight that continues to inform her work today.
